PLEASE NOTE: IF YOU HAVE AN AD SYSTEM CONNECTED TO YOUR CURRENT HOST THEN PLEASE ENSURE THAT IT'S TURNED OFF BEFORE RUNNING YOUR IMPORT OR IMPORT THE AD-FREE VERSION OF THE RSS FEED IF YOU HAVE ONE.

Sorry for the caps but it's very important or ads will be burnt into your episodes during the import :)

Note: Once you've completed the steps in this help doc to redirect your feed, you can start uploading new episodes to your Omny Studio account to update your feed.

Once you've imported your podcast to Omny Studio, you can easily migrate to Omny Studio without losing your existing subscribers. All you need to do is tell Apple Podcasts and the other podcast directories and apps to pull from your new RSS feeds. This is done by applying a re-direct from your old feed to your new feed.

Step 1 – Login to FeedBurner and find the feed you wish to change

Log into feedburner.com and select the feed you want to redirect.

Step 2 – Check that FeedBurner is using the Correct Feed

Click on “Feed Details”.

Make sure the feed address in the “original” feed is where you want your FeedBurner address to redirect to (steps to get your Omny RSS feed). Click “Save Feed Details”.

Step 3 – Delete your FeedBurner feed

Click on “Delete Feed” link.

Make sure you check the box that says “With permanent redirection” and hit “Delete Feed”. This will put in a permanent 301 redirect to your own feed.

Note: Although Apple Podcasts will normally pick up on changes within a few days, you should leave the old feed in place for a couple of weeks to ensure all subscribers are moved across.

To ensure Apple Podcasts picks up your redirect as fast as possible, you can follow these steps to update your RSS feed in Apple's Podcast Connect dashboard to the RSS feed you are migrating to (your Omny RSS feed). If you have any questions please contact us.
