The steps to follow when disabling or resetting your 2FA registration are different depending on whether you are logged in, or cannot log in. This article will run through how to do both.

Resetting your 2FA if you can log in

If you've enabled 2FA on your account, but need to reset your access (e.g. if moving to a new device), please follow the steps below.

1) Go to omnystudio.com/account and hit 'Reset' in the Security section.

2) The pop-up below will appear, hit 'OK' to continue.

3) To continue, enter your password.

4) You'll be displayed a QR code and alphanumeric code to setup a new account in your TOTP app of choice.

If you have any issues scanning the QR code, enter the code displayed on-screen in the app your app of choice.

Once your app is linked, it will provide a 6-digit code for a limited amount of time. Enter that code and hit "Enable two-factor authentication" to login to your account.

When logging into Omny in future, you will be prompted to provide a time-based one-time password from your linked app.

Resetting your 2FA if you cannot log in

If you are not able to login to your account because you don't have access to your two-factor authentication (2FA) credentials (such as if you've lost access to your phone or TOTP app), please contact your org admin who should be able to reset this for you by following the steps here.

If you need help finding someone with the access within your organization required to reset your 2FA registration, please email support@omnystudio.com
